The Hello Book
This book empowers children and gives each child a voice regardless of their age or level of ability. Shared images and information throughout the book ensure children maintain a strong sense of self and identity. Staff are supported by having important and significant information about each child to hand enabling positive and effective programme planning to begin. Family members are able to leave a short comforting voice message for their child using the electronic voice pad secured in the book. |

The Welcome Book - "Offering a greater sense of belonging"
The "Welcome" Book offers services a new and innovative way to share the unique qualities and individuality of their service with new children and their families. It can be loaned to new families over the transition period or it can be used on site as a resource to support orientation of new groups or individual children coming into the programme. Families who have an opportunity to view the 'Welcome" Book in their own home will feel more involved in the service and the transition process. Early positive partnerships will develop and strong connections from the service to the home will be created. The "Welcome" Book also becomes a valuable marketing tool as it's viewed by many different people.
